Position: Recruiter I

Pay: $23/hr – $25/hr

Job Summary

As a Recruiter I, you will partner with Area Leaders and Talent Acquisition Leadership to offer administrative support for all organizational positions and screening support for part‑time roles. You will conduct pre‑employment tests, facilitate Live Scans for background checks, complete references, and meet all compliance standards. You will collaborate closely with area partners to meet staffing needs, review resumes, and phone screen candidates for part‑time roles.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Pre‑Employment Activities
  • Proctor and grade in‑person pre‑employment tests.
  • Conduct Live Scans for new hires, ensuring compliance with the Department of Justice.
  • Support the onboarding process of new hires, ensuring all candidate documents meet state, federal, and organizational requirements.
  • Manage scheduled interviews and assessments with candidates, interviewers, hiring managers, and additional stakeholders as needed.
  • Conduct references as requested.
Recruitment Support
  • Review resumes and applications to identify suitable candidates for organizational opportunities.
  • Conduct initial phone screenings to assess candidate qualifications, experience, and potential fit.
  • Schedule interviews, both in‑person and virtual, providing clear communication to candidates and hiring managers.
  • Use evaluation and intuitive skills to determine candidate suitability based on agreed-upon position specifications and competencies.
  • Provide an equitable screening and interviewing process for all internal and external candidates.
  • Provide timely updates to candidates and hiring managers on requisition status.
  • Perform other screening duties as assigned.
  • Maintain staffing charts, supplemental staffing charts, the Applicant Tracking Tool, and recruiting reports.
  • Update and maintain candidate status in the Applicant Tracking System.
  • Send, manage, and track surveys and survey results in the respective region.
Post‑Hire Activities
  • Place new hires and transfers in appropriate school sites based on current regional needs.
  • Perform other post‑hire activities as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • High‑volume administrative experience is a plus.
  • Innovative user of Applicant Tracking Systems and ADP Workforce, or prior HRIS experience, is a plus.
  • Knowledge of data management and various analytic tools.
  • Must pass Live Scan (fingerprinting), Background Check, and Tuberculosis test.
  • Two‑year college degree or equivalent HR, Talent Acquisition, or customer service experience.
Other Responsibilities
  • Meet and/or exceed recruitment key performance indicators (KPIs) as assigned.
  • Support and coordinate activities between Program Departments and the Regional Hub office, working cooperatively with staff to meet staffing needs.
  • Maintain the highest levels of confidentiality regarding candidate and staff information, background check data, financial, and organizational matters.
  • Organize work to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Communicate candidate status with hiring managers and essential parties.
  • Attend staff, program, and department meetings as required.
  • Attend in‑person leadership and team meetings as required.
  • Attend in-person recruiting and outreach events as assigned.
  • Exhibit excellent interpersonal and team‑building skills.
  • Demonstrate flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to alter according to changes in projects or business needs.
  • Multi‑task and thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Become Live Scan certified within 10 days of start date (certification paid through Think Together).
  • Exercise strong organizational skills and relate data to business and operations metrics.
  • Work effectively in a team environment and independently with minimal supervision.
