Attorney Development Manager
The Attorney Development Manager will support the growth and performance of firm attorneys, patent agents, and technical advisors by implementing and managing attorney development and HR processes. Key responsibilities include overseeing Membership Elevation and Integration Check-ins, coordinating coaching and training programs for Member candidates and Newly Elevated Members, and participating in formal evaluation and upward feedback programs. This role collaborates with Attorney Development, Professional Development, Section Management, and Finance teams on performance management, employee relations, and the creation of training programs to address developmental needs.
Additional duties include delivering presentations, fostering strong relationships across the firm, staying current with industry best practices, and contributing to process improvements. The position requires approximately 60% in-office presence with limited remote work (20%) and occasional travel to other offices.
Qualifications include a bachelor's degree, 5–7 years of HR experience (preferably within a law firm or attorney development), excellent communication skills, and strong project management, analytical, and organizational abilities. Candidates must be adaptable, proactive, collaborative, and committed to high ethical standards. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software is essential.
Salary:
Boston $140,000–$160,000;
New York $150,000–$170,000.
