Role DescriptionThe Talent Acquisition & People Experience Specialist is a volunteer, remote role focused on building and sustaining an engaged, inclusive team for Active Leaders of Love.
- On a day-to-day basis, this role will manage full-life cycle recruiting, including sourcing candidates, coordinating and conducting interviews, and supporting equitable hiring decisions.
- The specialist will develop and maintain employer branding initiatives that reflect ALL’s mission and values, and design candidate and volunteer experience processes that are accessible and welcoming.
- Regular responsibilities include partnering with organizational leaders to understand staffing needs, updating role descriptions, maintaining communication with candidates, and tracking recruitment activities.
- This role collaborates with others across the organization to ensure that recruitment and onboarding practices align with ALL’s commitment to accessibility and equity.
- Demonstrated skills in Full-life Cycle Recruiting and recruiting, including sourcing, screening, and onboarding talent.
- Experience with hiring and interviewing practices that are structured, fair, and inclusive.
- Ability to support employer branding efforts that communicate the organization’s mission and values effectively.
- Strong communication and relationship‑building skills, with the ability to collaborate across diverse teams and communities.
- Organizational and time‑management skills suitable for managing multiple volunteer and candidate interactions remotely.
- Comfort with remote work tools (e.g., video conferencing, shared documents, applicant tracking systems or similar solutions).
- Understanding of or interest in accessibility, equity, and community advocacy; experience in nonprofit or community‑based work is an asset.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality, professionalism, and respect in all recruitment and engagement activities.
