Overview
Recruiters are responsible for executing a successful Talent Acquisition strategy for DICK’S Sporting Goods. The role focuses on attracting, selecting, and recruiting teammates with the right skills and passion for our brand across hourly and occasional salaried positions.
Responsibilities- Represent DICK’S at events, both in‑person and virtually.
- Develop recruitment strategies to identify a diverse pool of candidates and build pipelines using internal talent, online databases, social media, job boards, contact lists, networking, referrals, and applicant tracking systems.
- Manage multiple pipelines for several business functions, including unique and non‑traditional sources to find highly skilled and specialized candidates.
- Recruit both active and passive candidates, and specialize in niche skill sets or industries where needed.
- Review employment applications and resumes, evaluating work history, education, training, job skills, compensation needs, and other qualifications.
- Qualify candidates by scheduling hourly onsite interviews, conducting phone, video, and in‑person interviews, and sending interview links to hiring managers.
- Refer qualified candidates to the Hiring Manager, providing recommendations based on findings.
- Provide coaching and advice to candidates and hiring managers throughout the interview process.
- Recommend salaries to hiring managers based on level of position, market analysis, and internal comparisons.
- Negotiate compensation, create offer letters, perform reference and background checks, and initiate relocation agreements when appropriate.
- Provide feedback to Hiring Managers on issues and themes that impact the search process, driving internal improvement.
- Stay abreast of the latest recruiting and industry trends to continually improve candidate pipeline and service levels.
- Ensure all interviewing and hiring practices comply with applicable federal, state, and local regulations related to equal employment opportunity, immigration, and company policies.
- Constantly evaluate selection and placement techniques and offer best‑practice options such as behavior‑based interviewing to management and supervisory personnel.
- Develop relationships with local organizations, campus programs, or external partners as needed.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of corporate recruiting experience.
- Proficiency with Applicant Tracking System (ATS) software and internet search tools.
- Strong passion for recruiting top talent, demonstrated by high energy, positive attitude, and upbeat demeanor.
- Ability to interact effectively with hiring managers at all organizational levels.
- Experience staffing positions at a range of levels, including senior management.
- Capability to handle special projects and adapt to constant change with ease and flexibility.
- Proven ability to use behavioral interviewing techniques.
- Targeted pay range: $54,600.00 – $90,900.00.
