HR Specialist/Generalist

Location: Denver Metro Area. Remote work available.

Compensation: $70,000–$80,000 + Great Benefits

We're partnering with a subsidiary of an existing client launching operations in New York to hire its first dedicated HR professional. This is a unique opportunity to build the HR function from the ground up while supporting a growing organization of approximately 20–30 employees.

Although the company operates in New York,
Denver-based candidates are strongly preferred
, as the majority of leadership and employees are based in Colorado.

• Serve as the primary HR resource for the organization
• Develop employee policies, handbook, and HR processes
• Ensure compliance with New York State employment laws
• Manage onboarding and employee lifecycle activities
• Support benefits administration
• Assist with payroll administration (outsourced support may be utilized)
• Partner with leadership to build scalable HR infrastructure

• 3+ years of HR Generalist or HR Specialist experience
• Strong working knowledge of New York State employment law is required
• Experience creating HR policies, handbooks, and compliance processes
• Ability to work independently in a start-up environment
• Construction, industrial, manufacturing, or related industry experience preferred
• Payroll experience is a plus
• Union and/or prevailing wage experience is a plus
