This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Technical Recruiter (Defense Tech) based in the United States.
Accountabilities- Own the full-cycle recruitment process for highly technical positions, including Software Engineering, AI/ML, Data Science, and Operations Research roles.
- Partner closely with hiring managers and People leadership to define hiring needs, align candidate profiles, and drive efficient, high-quality hiring decisions.
- Build and maintain strong pipelines of passive technical talent, with a focus on candidates experienced in AI, defense technology, and security-cleared environments.
- Continuously enhance the candidate experience by improving interview processes, communication, and feedback throughout the hiring journey.
- Support onboarding initiatives to create a seamless, scalable experience that enables new hires to become productive from day one.
- Identify opportunities to improve People Operations processes, streamline employee lifecycle workflows, and enhance documentation and operational efficiency.
- Contribute to the development of scalable recruiting and HR practices that support organizational growth.
- 5+ years of technical recruiting experience, ideally within high-growth startups or fast-paced technology organizations.
- Proven success managing end-to-end recruiting processes, from intake meetings through offer negotiation and hiring.
- Experience recruiting for highly technical disciplines such as Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, or related fields.
- Strong interest in People Operations and a desire to contribute beyond recruiting into broader HR initiatives.
- Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Comfortable working in ambiguous, evolving environments while building scalable processes from the ground up.
- Experience recruiting for positions requiring security clearances or within defense technology, government contracting, or national security sectors is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with applicant tracking systems such as Greenhouse and experience working within PEO environments is a plus.
- Strong communication, collaboration, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills.
- Competitive salary ranging from $100,000 to $120,000
