The opportunity

This is a 15‑month contract, hybrid role that requires work within Eastern Time zone hours and the ability to travel to Toronto offices at least once per quarter.

The Bilingual Senior Manager, Human Resources will provide HR expertise, partnership and support to a client group, enabling the organization to attract, manage, develop and retain employees.

Key responsibilities
  • Provide a wide range of HR expertise, solutions and consulting services to support employees, the business and people leaders in achieving their goals.
  • Design, plan and execute programs and initiatives related to recruitment, retention, performance management, compensation, employee engagement, HR policy & procedures, and health & safety.
  • Give professional guidance and advice to leadership and client groups on HR issues, ensuring alignment with organizational policy and the legislative environment across Canada.
  • Lead and conduct workplace investigations, manage employee absence, and ensure compliance with legal obligations.
  • Support workforce planning, restructuring, and organizational change, providing action plans that mitigate risk and protect employee interests.
  • Partner with senior leaders to provide guidance on HR matters including employee relations, compensation, organizational structure, and workforce planning.
  • Develop and maintain HR data and reporting, including recruitment metrics, exit interviews, and policy updates.
  • Engage in continuous improvement projects such as recruitment process improvement, policy review, risk management, pay equity, and OQLF francisation.
Qualifications
  • University degree in Human Resources or a related field.
  • 5–7 years of progressive HR experience, including a minimum of 3 years in a managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of Quebec labour laws and regulations (CNESST, pay equity).
  • Experience managing OQLF francisation initiatives.
  • CHRL, HRPA or CRHA designation is an asset.
Skills & Competencies
  • Fluency in French and English.
  • Strategic HR partnership skills with the ability to influence senior leaders.
  • Strong critical thinking, risk assessment and mitigation planning abilities.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration and relationship‑building skills.
  • Discretion, confidentiality, and the ability to work with diverse teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Teams, HRIS, and applicant tracking systems such as .
  • Highly organized, capable of managing multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and quality.
  • Project management experience, especially with OQLF francisation projects.
What we offer

Salary range: $95,000 – $117,000, aligned with experience and our compensation framework.
