Agency Recruiting Specialist (Resident) - Kansas $63,273 base salary+ bonuses

Location:

Topeka, KS / Overland Park, KS / or Salina, KS preferred

• Develops contacts with local individuals, businesses and educational institutions within locations identified by Home Office Marketing to generate qualified Agent candidates.
• Handles recruiting duties utilizing various contact methods which include, but are not limited to, in-person, telephone, and e-mail.
• Maintains logs of applicant information and records, and provides weekly recruiting updates to the Recruiting Manager.
• Recruit, interview, and recommend applicants for agency positions across Shelter's operating territory.
• Perform other duties at the request of the Recruiting Manager.
• Home office equipment and company vehicle provided as well as travel expenses paid.

• Superior communication and interpersonal skills
• Self-motivated and goal oriented
• Works independently using considerable judgment and discretion in dealing with daily work situations within guidelines as established by upper Marketing management.
• Works under general supervision and determines appointment schedules.
• Experience in candidate sourcing and Boolean search.
• Experience in recruiting Agent candidates or insurance sales is preferred.
• Aptitude to gain thorough knowledge of company products, policies and philosophy
• Capacity to travel overnight frequently (50% overnight travel or more)
• Ability to develop contacts and learn the local area/community, in person on assigned vacancy
• Capability to obtain P & C and Life & Health licensing and maintain current industry knowledge through industry courses (company paid)
• Ability to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without a reasonable accommodation
• Due to the duties and responsibilities of this position, Credit Bureau Report, Motor Vehicle Report, and Criminal Background Check are ordered on final candidates.
