HR Manager

Queens, NY Area | Full-Time | Hybrid Schedule

Our client is seeking an experienced HR Manager to oversee and lead all core human resources functions for a growing organization. This is a highly visible role that will partner closely with leadership while supporting employees across multiple departments. The position offers work-from-home Fridays during the summer
, with in-office presence required the remainder of the week.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage full-cycle recruiting, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and offboarding processes
  • Coordinate new hire orientations and employee onboarding programs
  • Administer payroll through ADP Total Source PEO
  • Serve as a trusted HR resource for employees and management
  • Oversee OSHA-related compliance initiatives and workplace safety programs
  • Draft and maintain HR-related documentation, contracts, memorandums, and employment records
  • Act as a liaison between departments to support communication and operational effectiveness
  • Support labor relations matters and work with unionized employees as needed
  • Ensure compliance with HR policies, procedures, and employment regulations
  • Supervise and mentor one direct report
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of progressive Human Resources experience
  • Experience with recruiting, employee relations, onboarding, and payroll administration
  • Prior experience with ADP Total Source or a PEO environment preferred
  • Familiarity with OSHA regulations and workplace safety administration
  • Experience supporting unionized work forces preferred
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to balance strategic initiatives with hands‑on day-to-day HR responsibilities
