Position SummaryThe Job Placement Coordinator is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with employers, assisting graduates in securing employment, and supporting the school's mission of preparing students for successful careers in the the Electrical and Plumbing programs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Develop and maintain partnerships with local, regional, and national employers in the electrical, plumbing, construction, maintenance, and related industries.
- Identify employment opportunities for graduates and actively promote qualified candidates to hiring employers.
- Provide individualized career coaching, including resume development, interview preparation, job search strategies, and professional communication.
- Coordinate on-campus and virtual recruiting events, employer presentations, career fairs, and hiring events.
- Maintain regular communication with graduates regarding employment opportunities and career advancement.
- Verify and document graduate employment in accordance with accrediting agency and institutional policies.
- Maintain accurate placement records, employer contacts, and graduate employment data using the school's student information system and other reporting tools.
- Prepare placement reports for administration, accreditation reviews, and regulatory compliance.
- Conduct employer satisfaction and graduate follow-up surveys to evaluate placement success and identify opportunities for program improvement.
- Promote the school's graduates by highlighting their technical skills, certifications, and work readiness to prospective employe
- Represent the school at industry events, trade association meetings, networking functions, and workforce development activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Associate degree required; bachelor's degree preferred.
- Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
- Minimum of three years of experience in career services and/or recruiting required
- ONLY EXPERIENCE IN PLACEMENT/RECRUITING WITH
FOR PROFIT COMPANIES IS RELEVANT - Experience working in vocational, technical, career, or post-secondary education is preferred.
- Knowledge of skilled trades industry is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to establish and maintain productive employer partnership
- Experience in placing staff

- Persistent, oisitive and encouraging
- Knowledge of employment practices, recruiting techniques, and career counseling principles.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to analyze employment data and prepare reports.
- Ability to work independently while contributing as part of a collaborative team.
- Commitment to providing exceptional student and employer service.
This position operates in an office environment with regular interaction with students, graduates, faculty, employers, and community partners. Very occasional weekend hours may be required to support recruiting events, career fairs, or employer meetings.
