Overview
As a member of the Americas Employee Relations (ER) Team you will be responsible to independently run ER processes from inception to conclusion, including Investigations and Disciplinaries; provide advisory to HR; work collaboratively with the Central Investigations Function, Compliance, Legal and the Global ER team etc. to achieve best outcomes and provide seamless synergy; identify trends and analyses of Investigations and Disciplinaries and present to senior management and various committees;
interface with all levels of the organization; create and provide ad hoc training; lead the temporary paid leave processes during investigations; and participate in and/or lead global and regional projects. What You'll Do
* Reporting to the Americas Head of ER you will independently conduct internal investigations of potential HR policy violations including allegations of harassment, discrimination, and retaliation, from inception to conclusion including writing comprehensive investigation reports
* Lead disciplinary Advisory Groups and Disciplinary Decision Making meetings to review findings, conduct regional and global case calibrations and recommend disciplinary action in cases investigated by Employee Relations and other Bank investigative and control functions such as the Central Investigations Function and Compliance
* Provide guidance to HR Business Partners/ Advisors regarding their investigations and disciplinary matters
* Analyze case outcomes to identify trends and collaborate with HR Business Partners/Advisors to recommend proactive measures to remediate identified issues
* Prepare and present updates, outcomes, statistics and trends to senior management and other stakeholders at all levels of the organization to drive culture change consistent with the Bank's Aspirational Culture
Skills You'll Need
* Expertise in conducting investigations, conflict management, negotiation and influencing at all levels of an organization
* Knowledge of employment law or employment law background helpful, or extensive relevant experience
* Proven problem solving and decision-making skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Affinity for establishing relationships and partnering effectively with all levels of the organization professionally and calmly
* Ability to present and deliver training effectively and commercially in an interactive setting
How You'll Lead
* Provide strong leadership, guidance, and mentorship to junior and senior team members together with the Americas Head of ER, fostering their professional growth and expertise in Employee Relations
* Be a dependable partner to Human Resources Business Partners and Advisors as well as senior stakeholders in the Organization by providing HR policy guidance
* Drive continuous improvement in team processes, analytics, and reporting
Skills That Will Help You Excel
* Expertise in conducting investigations, conflict management, negotiation and influencing at all levels of an organization with proven problem solving and decision-making skills
* Affinity for establishing relationships and partnering effectively with all levels of the organization professionally and calmly
* Ability to deliver presentations effectively and commercially in an interactive setting
* Four-year college degree and strong knowledge in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word and Powerpoint
* Knowledge of employment law or employment law background helpful
Expectations
It is the Bank's expectations that employees hired into this role will work in the New York, New York office in accordance with the Bank's hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in New York City is $125,000 to $198,000. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications.
