Job OverviewThe Human Resources Coordinator provides administrative and operational support to the Director of HR and Administration. This position assists with essential HR operations including payroll, recruiting, onboarding, benefits administration, compliance reporting, and maintaining data integrity across employee systems. This role is the go-to resource for employees navigating HR systems and serves as the first point of contact for external HR inquiries.
Key Responsibilities /Essential FunctionsHR Operations & Systems
- Assist with running payroll, tracking time off, and managing benefits using ADP and other tools.
- Keep employee records accurate and organized, both digitally and on paper.
- Maintain and enhance HR dashboards and analytics to support planning and decision-making.
- Respond to external requests like verifications of employment, audits, unemployment claims, and compliance checks.
- Assist with onboarding, orientations, employee changes, and offboarding processes.
- General administrative support for the HR Department
Employee Support & Services
- Post job openings and help coordinate hiring, onboarding, and offboarding.
- Answer employee questions about pay, benefits, retirement plans, policies, and HR systems, in English and in Spanish.
- Track and monitor all staff documentation, such as evaluations, signed forms, and training records.
- Provide translation for human resources documents.
Administrative Support
- Serve as a welcoming first point of contact for visitors, callers, and community partners as needed.
- Provide front desk coverage as needed, including greeting, answering phones, directing inquiries, and processing mail.
- Assist with ordering and organizing office supplies as needed.
- Perform other administrative duties as assigned.
Culture, Communication & Admin
- Write and send out internal HR updates; translate when needed.
- Maintain procedure documentation and assist staff with interpreting policies as needed.
- Assist with additional projects that support a positive workplace as needed.
United Way of Weld County General
- Support and promote the mission, values, goals and objectives of United Way, including representing United Way in professional organizations and the community (as assigned).
- Support fundraising efforts of United Way and activities that support United Way.
- Support United Way annual events, disaster response, and other activities as assigned.
- Participate in staff meetings and in service opportunities.
- Contribute to organizational promotions including writing promotional copy, proofreading informational and campaign materials, participation in outreach, etc.
Able to navigate ADP, Excel, Outlook, Teams, Career Plug, and a variety of job listing, insurance and other large corporate websites. Willingness to learn new processes, systems, and best practices. Accurately follow detailed instructions. Demonstrate keen attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple tasks and shifting priorities. Professional communication and customer service skills. Maintain discretion with sensitive information under all circumstances.
Comfortable interacting with employees, applicants, visitors, and community members.
Associate's degree or equivalent experience. 1-2 years' experience working in human resources. High computer literacy required: demonstrated ability with MS office including excel, Outlook, and Teams. Bi-lingual (English/Spanish)
Position InformationFull-time: 40 hours, non-exempt. This role has previously been successful as a flexible part-time role, so if you'd prefer closer to 30 hours, you are encouraged to apply as well! Pay Range (Hper hour plus $.72 per hour Spanish speaking differential. Supervisory duties: none.

Yes, up to 20% remote as part of a hybrid work arrangement, beginning after 90 days of employment with supervisor approval. Background and credit check required.
