Senior Human Resources Manager

Location: Opfikon, Zurich, Switzerland

Employment Type: Permanent | Full-time (100%) preferred | 80% considered for the right candidate

We are supporting a well-established aviation organisation in the recruitment of an experienced Senior Human Resources Manager to join its growing team at its headquarters close to Zurich Airport.

This is an exciting opportunity for a senior HR professional to lead the company's entire Human Resources function. Reporting directly to the CEO and COO, you will combine strategic HR leadership with hands-on operational responsibility, ensuring best practice across the complete employee lifecycle while supporting the continued growth of the business.

Key Responsibilities

As the Senior Human Resources Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Managing the complete employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding through to offboarding.
• Leading payroll preparation, compensation administration and coordination with external payroll providers.
• Managing Swiss social security, pension and employee benefits administration.
• Preparing employment contracts, amendments, policies and HR documentation.
• Acting as the primary HR contact for employees and management across all HR matters.
• Supporting managers with employee relations, performance management and conflict resolution.
• Coordinating recruitment activities, interviews, offers and onboarding.
• Developing and continuously improving HR policies, procedures and internal processes.
• Maintaining HR systems, employee records and management reporting.
  
  Ensuring full compliance with Swiss employment legislation, GDPR and company policies.
• Supporting organisational development and employer branding initiatives.

Requirements

We're looking for an experienced HR professional who can operate confidently in both a strategic and operational capacity.

You Should Have

• Significant experience within Human Resources in Switzerland.
• Strong knowledge of Swiss employment law and Swiss social insurance.
• Previous experience managing payroll and HR administration.
• Experience across the full employee lifecycle.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• A high level of discretion and professionalism.
• Experience with HRIS and payroll systems.
• Fluent English and German language skills.
• Swiss HR Specialist certification (HR-Fachausweis) or equivalent would be advantageous.

Working Pattern

• Full-time (100%) preferred
• 80% may be considered for the right candidate
• Four days per week based in the Zurich office
• One day per week working from home (Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday)
