HR Coordinator – Onboarding & Compliance
HGL is seeking an organized and detail-oriented HR Coordinator – Onboarding & Compliance to support onboarding operations and HR compliance administration across the employee lifecycle. This role is responsible for coordinating onboarding activities, maintaining HR records, supporting compliance initiatives, and ensuring a consistent and positive new hire experience.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, process-driven, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy.
Onboarding Coordination
- Coordinate onboarding activities for new hires, including onboarding documentation, scheduling, and communications.
- Administer onboarding packets and ensure completion of required employment documentation.
- Coordinate pre-employment activities including background screenings, drug screenings, and onboarding requirements.
- Process and maintain I-9 and E-Verify documentation in compliance with federal requirements.
- Coordinate new hire orientation logistics and onboarding workflows.
- Serve as a point of contact for new hire onboarding questions and support.
HR Compliance & Administration
- Maintain employee personnel files and HR records in accordance with company policy and applicable regulations.
- Support HR compliance initiatives, audits, and reporting requirements.
- Monitor and track required acknowledgments, compliance training assignments, and onboarding documentation.
- Assist with labor law posting coordination and compliance administration.
- Support document retention and recordkeeping processes.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee and company information.
HR Operations Support
- Perform HRIS data entry and maintain employee records with accuracy and timeliness.
- Support HR operational processes and workflow tracking in Nutrient, ADP, and SharePoint.
- Assist with maintaining onboarding and compliance documentation and procedures.
- Provide general administrative support to the HR department as needed.
Minimum Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems.
- Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional customer service and support to employees and internal stakeholders.
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 2+ years of HR coordination, onboarding, or HR operations experience preferred.
- Experience supporting onboarding and HR compliance processes preferred.
- Knowledge of I-9 and E-Verify requirements is preferred.
- Experience in a federal contractor environment preferred.
- Multi-state onboarding or HR compliance experience preferred.
- Experience with ADP Workforce Now or similar HRIS platforms preferred.

Work Schedule:
This is a full-time hourly non-exempt role. HGL office work is dictated by a 5-day work week with 40 hours per week anticipated Monday through Friday.
Office Type:
This is a full-time, in-office position for the first 90 days. After 90 days, a hybrid work schedule of two days work from home, three days in office.
