Job Responsibilities:The Human Resources Recruiter is responsible for providing quality candidates to all store locations, new locations and Support Center – Home Office/Warehouse. The Human Resources Recruiter is responsible for actively and passively recruiting candidates to fill all open positions, participating in initiatives to help develop, retain, and attract top candidates and being an overall partner to their assigned store locations.
Work ExperienceDuties/Responsibilities
- Serve customers, associates, vendors and partners while modeling Sendik's culture and providing "best in class" customer service
- Source candidates, conduct interviews and fill open positions efficiently and effectively with top talent
- Track hiring needs and recruiting results
- Post open positions on appropriate sites
- Participate in passive and active recruiting strategies
- Maintain applications and correspond with candidates
- Conduct phone interviews and in person interviews at job fairs with candidates for all store locations, new store locations, and the Support Center – Home Office/Warehouse
- Advises hiring managers and consults on candidates as needed
- Assist with planning and executing of various HR programs that seek to develop, engage and retain current associates and attract new candidates
- Manage the onboarding experience for new hires, being the point of contact for new hires including orientation as well as various touch points throughout the new hire onboarding process
- Answers candidate and new hire questions around benefit offerings and reinforces Sendik's commitment to being a best place to work
- Review standard operating procedures and practices; proactively seeks ways to improve upon current programs, procedures and processes
- Remains up-to-date in recruiting, onboarding, engagement and retention trends to best serve our associates
- Assist in the stores during peak holiday seasons as needed
- Complete other miscellaneous duties as assigned
- Demonstrated success in a high volume, Human Resources recruiting role preferred
- BA/BS degree in Human Resources or a related field
- Knowledge of Federal and Wisconsin labor laws
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to interact effectively with individuals at all levels, internally and externally
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills
- Familiarity with automated applicant tracking systems (e.g., Dayforce, Phenom, etc.) and the use of social media in recruiting a plus
- Proficient in computer programs such as Word, Excel and Google Docs
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills; strong continuous improvement mindset
- Strong sense of security and ability to handle sensitive information
- Excellent attention to detail
- Excellent time management, prioritization and organization skills
- Ability to work at a fast paced and efficient manner
- Strong sense of team – ability to anticipate the needs of the team
- Ability to lift a maximum of 50 lbs
