We have an outstanding career opportunity for aTalent Acquisition Specialist to join a leading Company located in the Richmond, VA surrounding area.
Salary: $56K - $60K
The Onboarding & Recruiting Specialist is responsible for building pipelines for future hiring needs through community activities and relationships and is responsible for managing candidates through the hiring and onboarding processes for all employees. This is a highly detailed and organized position that allows for collaboration with shop leadership. The TA Specialist represents in the community, strengthens our employer brand, and helps ensure we hire exceptional people who align with our values and mission.
Job Responsibilities:Assist with building a multi-channel recruiting process to fill the pipeline with high-quality candidates including , but not limited to active applicants, passive candidates, employee referrals, social networking, community college networking, placement programs, job fairs, etc.
Daily communication and follow‑up with applicants via email and phone.
Responsible for the screening of candidates through initial interaction and virtual interview process.
Ability to assess applicants' relevant knowledge, skills, soft skills, experience and culture fit without
bias.
Accurate documenting of applicant interactions, including during the interview process.
Schedule applicant in‑person interviews/Factory tours.
Work closely with hiring managers to understand job requirements, ideal candidate profiles, and hiring timelines.
Provide regular updates on candidate pipelines, challenges, and progress.
Support hiring managers in preparing interview questions and understanding structured interview practices.
Coordinate with supervisors and applicants for various portions of the onboarding process.
Schedule completion of onboarding paperwork/packet pick‑up
Accurate and timely processing of onboarding and new hire documents including initiating and monitoring standard new hire paperwork (I-9, state specific , compliance, forms, etc.)
Ensure a positive, professional, and timely experience for all candidates.
Communicate mission, values, and culture throughout the hiring process.
Support employer branding initiatives by contributing content, sharing success stories, and promoting events.
Responsible for accurate and timely correspondence regarding offers of employment .
Collaborate with key personnel to support various aspects of Recruiting and Onboarding.
Builds and foster relationships with Hiring Managers, team members, and candidates to ensure a positive onboarding experience
Welcome newly hired employees and manage the end‑to‑end onboarding process.
Point of contact for onboarding questions.
Manage the full internal job posting process including creating job descriptions, postings, interviews etc .
Actively participate in the development, monitoring, and improvement in the experiences of candidates, managers, and associates in our hiring process.
Required use of best practices when conducting interviews.
Maintain and enhance expertise by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
This is an in‑person position with no future plans of transitioning to a remote position
Basic Hiring Criteria:Ability to take on other duties as department needs or department structure changes .
Must be able to multi‑task, and handle managing applicant status in the onboarding process.
Knowledge of government compliance regulations related to applicant tracking.
Knowledge of all policies and procedures as it relates to the company attendance and benefits policies and procedures.
