The salary range for this position is $61,749.69 to $ for Schedule A, and $61,749.69 to $95,146.95 for Schedule
B. For newly hired individuals, the starting salary will normally be at the minimum of the salary range. For current Judiciary employees, salary upon promotion or advancement will be an increase of 5% of base salary, not to exceed the maximum of the range, or the minimum salary of the band/level, whichever is greater. Judiciary employees hired prior to June 3, 2014, are considered Schedule
A. Newly hired individuals, and Judiciary employees hired on or after June 3, 2014, are considered Schedule

The Atlantic Cape May Vicinage is seeking a highly self-motivated individual with excellent written and oral communication skills who is organized, detail-oriented, and committed to providing exceptional customer service. Under the direction of the Human Resources Division Manager and the Assistant Human Resources Division Manager, the successful candidate will demonstrate strong problem solving, communication, organizational, administrative, and mathematical reasoning skills. The candidate must also have the ability to adapt to change and adjust multiple priorities in a fast-paced work environment to produce optimal outcomes.
The selected individual must have knowledge of HR practices including federal, state, and local government employment regulations, and the ability to interpret them and Judiciary policies, procedures, and bargaining unit agreements to communicate information to management and staff.
Travel within the multi-county vicinage may be required.

Candidate may be assigned to any of these locations;
Atlantic City, Mays Landing, and/or Cape May Court House. Applicants are advised of the possibility that the individual selected for this position may be reassigned to another location within Atlantic & Cape May vicinage based on operational need.
The Judiciary currently offers a hybrid work schedule, and this position may qualify for up to 2 days of remote work outside of Judiciary buildings. To participate in this program, in addition to installing a multifactor authentication app on your phone or tablet, you will be required to have high speed home internet access.
Example of Duties- Provide technical human resource advice and assistance to managers, supervisors, and employees in areas including but not limited to: recruitment and selection, leave administration including Family Medical Leave Act and NJ Family Leave Act, Workers Compensation, tuition aid program, benefits administration, payroll processing, and exit processing.
- Compile reports and spreadsheets using Microsoft Office applications.
- Establish and maintain working relationships with state agencies and other outside organizations.
- Facilitate training sessions on human resources related topics.
- Conduct new employee processing or orientation sessions.
- Compose routine and complex correspondence.
- Process transactions in HR information systems such as classification, compensation, position control, and payroll, and perform audits to ensure integrity of HR systems.
