Overview
The Human Resources Manager provides both guidance and support to our employees in support of positive employee relations in the Company’s Home Office. The incumbent offers consultation, facilitation and resolution of workplace issues and assists in communication between management and employees. The Human Resources Manager provides guidance and support to managers and leaders and serves as a consultant to managers and employees on issues related to employee performance, support needs, accommodation, development or termination.

- Coaching, Development and Counseling: Identify, analyze and implement resolutions to complex and highly sensitive employee relations issues, including unusual situations where precedents for resolution are unavailable. Partner with, consult and influence all levels of management regarding critical and complex employee relations decisions, e.g. performance management, harassment, business conduct, terminations, and HR policies, guidelines, and practices. These decisions may have critical impact on the organization and involve a large degree of risk.
Conduct investigations regarding potential misconduct and policy violations. Communicate and implement company-wide employee relations programs, policies, and procedures. Act as a resource for managers and employees relating to policy, counseling, discipline, and separation. - Employee Development: Partner with management and employees to plan for the appropriate career development activities for succession on identified candidates and consult on performance management for all employees. Work with managers to manage the annual employee performance appraisal process, help identify successes and improvement areas, and maintain consistency. Assists in the development of employee training programs that address company needs, including onboarding and management development, partnering with the Training team to provide necessary education through on-site workshops, on-line training and continual coaching.
- Compliance: Ensure that all federal, state, local laws and company HR-related compliance matters are proactively managed, including but not limited to wage and hour laws, employee classification under FLSA, A.D.A.A., Equal Employment, FMLA, etc.
- Compensation and Benefits: Work collaboratively with employees at all levels and the Benefits team on leave of absence matters. Independently develop and evaluate wage proposals, conduct market-rate research, assess internal equity, and benchmark positions to ensure compensation recommendations are competitive and internally consistent. Maintain and update the position description library to support job analysis, compensation reviews, and organizational planning. Partner with management and appropriate HR leadership to finalize rate approvals.
- Bachelor’s degree in Humar Resource Management, Business Administration, etc. or equivalent required.
- 3+ years in Human Resources required; HR management experience preferred.
- Possess solid business acumen knowledge and ability to communicate with various levels of organization.
- Ability to influence and motivate others through partnership and relationship building.
- 2+ years in business function outside of HR preferred.
- Direct experience managing or supervising others preferred.
