The Temporary HR Business Partner – Field/Store Operations provides additional Human Resources support for Field HR Business Partners, leaders, and designated Home Office teams. Working closely with the Sr. Director, Human Resources – Stores, this role assists with Team Member relations, compliance, reporting, Team Member programs, and HR projects and initiatives.
This role requires strong organization, attention to detail, discretion, and follow-through. The successful candidate must be comfortable managing multiple assignments, working with confidential information, and responding to changing priorities in a fast-paced retail environment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS- Provide day-to-day HR support for the Home Office Store Operations team.
- Partner with Field HR Business Partners to:
- Provide backup Team Member relations support, including assisting with workplace concerns, Hotline reports, documentation, case tracking, follow-up and escalating complex matters appropriately.
- Support Form I-9 compliance by following up with leaders, researching discrepancies, and coordinating issue resolution with the appropriate partners.
- Conduct exit interviews, document feedback, and identify trends and opportunities that may inform retention and Team Member experience strategies.
- Support the accommodations and interactive process by coordinating communications, collecting and maintaining documentation, tracking requests, and facilitating timely follow-up with Team Members and leaders.
- Assist with maintenance of organizational charts and related workforce information to reflect approved organizational and reporting-relationship changes.
- Support Engagement Survey administration, including system access and reporting.
- Coordinate labor law posting communications and compliance updates to stores.
- Prepare and maintain accurate HR reports and tracking tools related to staffing, training completion, performance reviews, and other key people metrics.
- Provide administrative and project support for HR programs and initiatives based on business needs and priorities.
- Assist with developing and implementing solutions that streamline HR processes and increase efficiency.
- Maintain the confidentiality of Team Member information and ensure HR records and documentation are handled in accordance with company policies and applicable requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of three years of experience in Human Resources, Human Resources Operations, Employee Relations, and/or a related area.
- Experience supporting multi-unit/multi-state retail operations or another geographically dispersed workforce.
- General knowledge of HR practices and employment-related compliance requirements.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with sound judgment and discretion.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
- Experience using HR information systems, reporting tools, case-management platforms, or survey systems preferred.
- Collaborative and consultative working style, with the ability to establish credible relationships across multiple levels of the organization.
- Ability to analyze data, identify trends, develop recommendations, and help execute plans that support organizational goals.
- Proven ability to prioritize competing responsibilities, meet deadlines, and deliver accurate results.
- Strong written and verbal communication, problem-solving, and follow-through skills.
- Ability to translate information and concepts into clear, actionable next steps.
- Comfortable working through ambiguity and adjusting to changing business priorities.
