About the Role Apex Fintech Solutions is seeking an HR Business Partner to support our Dallas-based business units. This role acts as a trusted advisor to leaders and employees, driving talent strategy, organizational effectiveness, and day-to-day HR execution in a fast-paced fintech environment.
What You'll Do- Partner with client-group leaders on workforce planning, org design, and talent strategy
- Coach managers on performance management, employee relations, and difficult conversations
- Use employee data and HR metrics to identify trends and recommend proactive interventions
- Lead or support talent reviews, compensation planning cycles, and promotion processes
- Manage employee relations investigations and disciplinary actions with sound judgment and documentation
- Drive engagement initiatives and support change management for organizational shifts
- Ensure compliance with federal, Texas state, and local employment law
- Collaborate with Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, and L&D to deliver an integrated employee experience
- Support M&A integration activities as needed (if applicable to Apex's growth strategy)
- 5+ years of progressive HR experience, including 2+ years in an HRBP or generalist role supporting client groups
- Experience in financial services, fintech, or another regulated industry preferred
- Strong data fluency — comfortable pulling insights from HRIS/people analytics tools to inform decisions
- Demonstrated ability to influence at multiple levels, including senior leaders
- Solid grounding in employment law (Texas and federal)
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or related field; PHR/SHRM-CP a plus
- High discretion and judgment — this role handles sensitive, confidential employee matters daily
