HR Manager, HR Generalist / Talent Management, Regulatory Compliance Specialist
The Human Resources (HR) Director partners with executive leadership to align HR strategy with the overall mission and operations of Navian Hawai'i. This role is responsible for translating organizational goals into effective HR programs, driving change management, and building a workplace culture that supports both employees and the patients and families the organization serves. The HR Director leads the full HR function - from strategic workforce planning through day-to-day HR operations - and serves as a trusted advisor to leadership on all people-related matters.
The role requires a balance of strategic leadership and hands-on operational oversight, with the ability to shift between strategic and tactical responsibilities as organizational needs evolve.
- Translate Navian Hawai‘i's strategic plan into short- and mid-term HR initiatives, and drive those initiatives to successful completion.
- Develop, align, and execute HR programs in support of business objectives; monitor progress against metrics and milestones and report to senior leadership.
- Prioritize HR initiatives and allocate resources to focus on the organization's highest-value opportunities and changing business needs.
- Serve as a member of the Navian Hawai‘i Leadership Team, providing sound judgment and decision‑making on organizational and people‑related issues.
- Provide strategic leadership for enterprise‑wide change initiatives, partnering with leaders to drive organizational transformation and successful adoption of strategic priorities.
- Advise business leaders on organizational design and effectiveness, using workforce data and analytics to inform decisions on compensation, talent reviews, retention, and succession planning.
- Lead, develop, and coach the HR team, fostering accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and high-quality service delivery.
- Leverage internal and external HR resources to deliver effective, scalable HR solutions that support organizational priorities and changing business needs.
- Lead employee relations efforts by fostering a positive, inclusive, and respectful workplace culture. Provide guidance to managers and employees on conflict resolution, performance management, and policy interpretation, ensuring fair and consistent application of organizational standards.
- Oversee administration of employee records, including tracking of annual certifications, health clearances, and testing requirements, and follow up to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Design, develop and implement competitive total rewards strategies, including compensation, health, retirement, wellness, incentives, engagement and other rewards & recognition programs that are cost effective and consistent with labor market trades and Navian's overall long-term goals.
- Partners with Navian's Professional Employer Organization (PEO) to oversee and manage payroll processing and benefits administration, including coordination of leave programs (PTO, extended sick leave, FMLA, temporary disability, workers' compensation), ensuring service delivery aligns with the organization's HR strategy and employee experience standards.
- Manage the organization's Retirement Plan and related compliance testing, and oversee coordination of health and welfare benefits.
- Partners with managers/directors to integrate existing workforce plans and staffing strategy when considering openings.
