Trupp HR - HR Business Partner (Remote/Full-Time)
Pay Range: $70,000 – 80,000 Status:
Exempt
Most HR business partners support one company. Ours support several, and for many of our clients, the HR Business Partner is the HR department. Trüpp is looking for an HR Business Partner to join our HR Outsourcing practice. In this role you'll serve as the dedicated HR representative for a portfolio of small and mid-sized clients, building the HR foundations they've never had, guiding their leaders through the people decisions that keep them up at night, and making sure the everyday work of HR gets done well, consistently, and in compliance.
It's generalist work with real ownership, and no two client days look quite alike. At Trüpp, we believe in harnessing the power of our collective team, valuing the diverse talents, strengths, perspectives, backgrounds, and even quirky traits of each of our employees. As a fully remote organization, Trüpp is committed to creating a remote work environment where all team members feel welcome, respected, supported, and valued.
The HR Business Partner works across the full employee lifecycle for assigned clients: establishing HR workplans and core processes, building handbooks and job descriptions, coaching managers, advising employees, handling employee relations matters, and coordinating with Trüpp's benefits, leave, and compensation specialists when a client needs more than one set of hands. You'll also take on ad hoc consulting projects for clients and for Trüpp itself, including workplace investigations where appropriate.
Successful candidates will: earn a client's trust quickly and keep it; give practical, legally sound advice in plain language; build HR processes that fit a business rather than a textbook; stay organized across multiple clients with competing priorities; write clearly and accurately; and genuinely enjoy being the person clients call first.
The salary range for this position is $70,000 to $80,000 per year depending on relevant experience and qualifications.
WHAT YOU’LL DO- Serve as the primary point of contact for all HR-related questions, concerns, and challenges for your assigned clients.
- Establish HR workplans and foundational HR processes for clients, including HR assessments, handbooks, job descriptions, employee lifecycle processes, and employee relations practices, and lead their implementation, drawing on Trüpp team members as needed.

- Build cooperative, supportive relationships with client employees, providing sound advice and guidance when they need it.
- Own assigned client processes across Trüpp's HR technology stack, including onboarding, status changes, separations, and employee file management.
- Coordinate with Trüpp's benefits, leave of absence, compensation, and employee relations specialists to deliver seamless service on complex or cross-functional matters.
- Partner with Trüpp team members to implement or rebuild client performance management systems.
- Complete ad hoc consulting projects for clients and for Trüpp, including workplace investigations where appropriate.
- Support fellow Trüpp team members with consulting work, project activities, and client needs as they arise.
- A working command of employment laws, regulations, and HR best practices, and the habit of checking before advising so your recommendations hold up.
- Strong interpersonal skills with proven client management and business literacy.
- Excellent problem-solving instincts and the confidence to make a clear recommendation and see it through.
- The ability to prioritize and adapt in a fast-paced setting where assignments and deadlines shift, often from several…
