Role DescriptionThe Human Resources Coordinator is a full-time, on-site role based in Mississauga, ON. This is a hands‑on role for an HR professional who enjoys variety and wants exposure across the full employee lifecycle. You’ll play an important role in supporting our Canadian and U.S. operations, with responsibilities spanning recruitment, onboarding, benefits, payroll, HRIS administration, employee support, and engagement
.
- Partner with hiring managers throughout the recruitment process
- Create and post job advertisements across multiple platforms
- Review applications, screen candidates, coordinate interviews and participate in interviews
- Coordinate reference and background checks
- Prepare Canadian and U.S. employment contracts and support candidates through the offer process
- Set up new employees and coordinate new-hire documentation, payroll information, tax forms and benefits enrollment
- Coordinate required workplace training, including WHMIS, Workplace Violence & Harassment and Health & Safety training
- Prepare employment verification letters and other employee documentation
- Maintain employee records
- Support Canadian and U.S. benefits administration
- Process enrollments, employee changes and terminations with benefit providers
- Process bi-weekly payroll , process payroll adjustments, salary changes, promotions and other payroll entries.
- Process employee terminations and leaves of absence and prepare/amend Records of Employment (ROEs)
- Provide day‑to‑day HR support to employees and managers
- Assist in planning and coordinating employee engagement initiatives for our Mississauga and Guelph locations
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field
- 2+ years of hands‑on HR experience
- Exposure to Canadian payroll, benefits or HR administration is an asset
- Experience with recruitment, onboarding and benefits administration
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with confidential information
- Excellent organizational and time‑management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable working independently while collaborating closely with managers and employees
- Proficient in MS Office and HRIS systems; experience with HR databases or payroll software is considered an advantage (Dayforce is highly prefered).
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a diverse, fast‑paced environment.
- This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional who wants a broad, hands‑on role rather than being limited to one area of Human Resources. You’ll have the opportunity to work across recruitment, payroll, benefits, HR systems and employee experience while supporting employees across multiple locations.
- Compensation: $65,000 to $70,000 depending on experience
- Benefits to start and paid 100% by the company
- Hybrid work: 2 days from working from home and 3 days in office
