Position Overview
The Recruiter is responsible for identifying, recruiting, qualifying, and delivering engineering, construction management, project controls, commissioning, operations, maintenance, and technical professionals for client projects across North America.
This position operates within a split-desk staffing model, partnering closely with the Account Manager who are responsible for client acquisition and account management. The recruiter is responsible for candidate generation, qualification, candidate management, and successful fulfillment of open requisitions.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, self-motivated, and capable of working independently in a remote environment while maintaining strong communication with sales, operations, clients, and candidates. This individual must thrive in a fast-paced staffing environment and understand the urgency associated with supporting industrial, engineering, energy, infrastructure, and data center projects.
This is a performance-driven role with significant earning potential through a commission structure tied directly to gross profit generation.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruit engineering, construction, project services, technical, and operations professionals for contract, contract-to-hire, and direct-hire opportunities.
- Source candidates through Linked In Recruiter, ATS databases, referrals, networking, job boards, social media, and direct recruiting efforts.
- Conduct comprehensive candidate interviews to evaluate:
- Industry experience
- Compensation requirements
- Geographic mobility
- Availability
- Develop and maintain talent pipelines aligned with current and future client needs.
- Build relationships with passive candidates and establish long-term recruiting networks.
- Verify employment history, certifications, project experience, and professional qualifications.
- Maintain continuous engagement with qualified candidates throughout the hiring process.
Candidate Management
- Manage the candidate experience from initial contact through placement and onboarding.
- Coordinate interviews between candidates and client hiring teams.
- Prepare candidates for interviews and provide detailed client and project information.
- Gather and communicate interview feedback.
- Facilitate offer negotiations and acceptance processes.
- Support onboarding, compliance, and pre-employment requirements.
- Maintain regular communication with consultants and contractors following placement.
- Split-Desk Partnership & Account Management
- Work directly with Director of Project Services and Account Managers to fulfill client staffing requirements.
- Participate in requisition intake meetings and recruiting strategy discussions.
- Develop recruiting plans based on client priorities, timelines, and project demands.
- Provide market intelligence regarding talent availability, compensation trends, and hiring challenges.
- Communicate candidate pipeline activity and recruiting progress to internal stakeholders.
- Support account growth through consistent delivery, responsiveness, and recruiting execution.

- Support Business Development Managers through rapid recruiting response.

- Build strong candidate relationships that generate referrals and repeat placements.
- Operate with a high level of urgency, accountability, and professionalism.
Weekly Activity Expectations
- 30-40 candidate interviews
- 20+ candidate submissions
- 50+ outbound recruiting calls
- 15+ candidate marketing conversations
- Daily ATS and CRM updates
- Consistent pipeline development and candidate networking activities
Required Qualifications
