The Payroll Specialist is responsible for managing a personal book of payroll clients. This role ensures that all scheduled payrolls are processed accurately and on time. The individual must have strong payroll knowledge, experience in client-facing roles, and the ability to balance their own client responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Own and manage a dedicated book of payroll clients, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant payroll processing.
- Collaborate with clients on process improvements, tax compliance, and system updates.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and resolving payroll-related issues promptly.
- Maintain detailed records of client interactions and payroll transactions to ensure transparency and accuracy.
- Educate clients on payroll best practices and compliance requirements to enhance their understanding and satisfaction.
- Utilize UKG Ready to process payrolls efficiently and accurately for assigned clients.
- Ensure all payroll data is entered correctly into the UKG Ready system, including employee information, hours worked, deductions, and benefits.
- Conduct regular audits of payroll data to identify and correct discrepancies.
- Stay updated on UKG Ready system enhancements and updates to leverage new features for improved payroll processing.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any system-related issues that may arise during payroll processing.
- Collaborate with the Payroll Team Lead to optimize the use of UKG Ready for streamlined payroll operations.
