Joining the district office means playing a key role in strengthening the Farmers Insurance presence in Northern Ohio.
The District Recruiting Specialist is a full-time, hybrid role based in the Toledo, Ohio Metropolitan Area, with a mix of in-office and work-from-home flexibility. This role is responsible for sourcing, screening, and recruiting prospective agency owners and staff through online platforms, networking, and community outreach. Day-to-day tasks include managing candidate pipelines, conducting phone and video interviews, coordinating in-person meetings, and supporting the hiring process from initial contact through onboarding.
The specialist will collaborate with the district team to align recruiting strategies with business objectives, track recruitment metrics, and provide regular updates on candidate progress. Additional responsibilities include helping coordinate training sessions for new hires, maintaining accurate records in applicant tracking systems, and representing the district office at career fairs and local events.
- Candidates should possess strong Recruiting and Hiring skills, including experience managing candidate pipelines and supporting end-to-end talent acquisition.
- Candidates should possess effective Interviewing and Communication skills, with the ability to build rapport, assess fit, and present opportunities clearly and professionally.
- Candidates should possess Training and onboarding capabilities, with comfort facilitating or coordinating sessions for new agency staff or owners.
- Relevant qualifications include experience in insurance, sales, or agency environments; familiarity with applicant tracking systems and online recruiting tools; and strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Additional beneficial qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in business, human resources, or a related field; the ability to work both independently and collaboratively; and a results-oriented mindset with attention to compliance and confidentiality.
