Generalist

Work where people strategy, HR technology & creative communication meet! We're looking for a Benefits Generalist with a passion for creative employee communications to join our Benefits Shared Services Team at Green Mountain Higher Education Consortium.

You'll have a hand in both the tech and the human side of employee benefits: leveraging HR systems to run operations while using fresh, creative storytelling to make benefits accessible, engaging, and easy to understand.

We're looking for someone who is:

• A creative communicator who can translate complex benefits into clear, engaging content
• Systems-savvy and energized to optimize workflows using Oracle HCM
• Bold, curious, and unafraid to try new things to reimagine how we educate and connect with employees
• Customer-focused, empathetic, and energized by helping people navigate their benefit packages from health and welfare to retirement plans
• A collaborative problem-solver who thrives on building strong relationships across multiple campuses and with a variety of vendors

You'll lead multi-channel benefits communications, design dynamic educational materials and info sessions, develop open enrollment campaigns, and ensure the employee benefits lifecycle experience runs smoothly. You'll serve as a go-to resource for employees, candidates, and leadership across our three founding member institutions:
Champlain College, Middlebury College, and St. Michael's College.

• Location:
  
  Hybrid (Burlington, VT office + work from home) with at least bi-weekly travel to our college campuses.
• Experience:
  
  5+ years in benefits administration or human resources. Bachelor's degree or equivalent required, PHR or CBP is a plus!
• Tech:
  Systems-savvy. Cloud based HRIS experience. Comfort with creative design and digital communication tools.
