The Human Resources Associate is a one-year opportunity to gain hands-on Human Resources experience while working in a dynamic and collaborative collegiate athletics environment. Reporting directly to the HR Generalist Associate, this position will provide administrative and project support across a variety of HR functions and initiatives. The role will offer exposure to multiple aspects of the employee lifecycle, HR processes, records management, employee communications, and department-wide programs.
This is an excellent opportunity for an individual looking to develop their HR knowledge, gain practical experience, build professional relationships, and learn how Human Resources operates within a complex and high-profile athletics environment.
Responsibilities*Essential Functions
- Provide day-to-day administrative support to the Athletics Human Resources team.
- Maintain organized and accurate employee records, employment documentation, contracts, and other confidential HR materials.
- Assist with HR-related correspondence, communications, and follow-up with employees and department contacts.
- Support employee onboarding, offboarding, and other employment-related processes as needed.
- Assist with employment transactions and HR system processes, including select Personnel Action Requests (PARs) and other routine updates.
- Support department-wide HR programs, events, and initiatives, including communications, participation tracking, and event logistics.
- Assist with gathering, organizing, and tracking information to support HR projects, reporting, and process improvement initiatives.

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Sound judgment when handling confidential information, with a high degree of discretion.
- Capacity to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a team.
