Chief People Officer

Overview

Is seeking a qualified full-time Chief People Officer. This person is responsible for the day-to-day personnel activities and administration functions related to Human Resources. This person will work closely with Senior Executives regarding the development of policies, programs and procedures related to employment, employee relations, benefits, payroll, pension and personnel administration. We are seeking an individual who will support & promote a positive workplace across all campuses of the NJSEA.

The Chief People Officer will oversee all NJ State benefits administration and fill the role of Supervising Certifying Officer for all pension related submissions. They will oversee all recruitment and retention efforts, creation and retention of all job descriptions for staff. This person will provide guidance, counseling and resources to all staff regarding pension and retirement related issues. The CPO coordinates internal investigations, discipline, grievances and labor relation issues and works alongside NJSEA internal legal counsel to ensure policy compliance.

The person will oversee NJ State disability and unemployment claims and coordinate the Work From Home Program.

Preferred experience is 10 years in HR management and a bachelor’s degree in a related field. PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred. Strong communication skills and the ability to communicate to all levels of staff is a must.

Salary range is $110k to $135k, but negotiable based on experience.
