We are seeking a resourceful, industry-savvy Recruiter to support a high-priority talent acquisition initiative for a premier Higher Education institution’s Capital Projects & Facilities (CP&F) division.
In this role, you will lead full-lifecycle sourcing and candidate engagement for specialized operational roles, including Project Managers, Facilities Managers, Supervisors, and Cogeneration Plant Specialists
. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of construction and facilities terminology, licensure, and project life cycles—from inception and execution through closeout.
We are looking for an innovative recruiter who excels at creative, non-traditional sourcing strategies beyond standard resume databases to identify top-tier passive talent.
Key Responsibilities- Specialized Sourcing & Pipeline Development: Proactively identify, attract, and engage qualified candidates for niche facilities, construction, project management, and power plant/cogeneration operational roles.
- Creative Talent Acquisition: Utilize creative, resourceful, and multi-channel sourcing methodologies (networking, trade associations, out-of-box search tactics) to build passive candidate pipelines.
- Candidate Screening & Assessment: Conduct thorough technical screenings to evaluate candidate qualifications, relevant licenses/certifications, and project lifecycle experience (conception to closeout).

Collaboration:
Partner directly with hiring managers within Capital Projects and Facilities to understand technical requirements, refine candidate profiles, and drive interview workflows. - Candidate Management: Maintain clear communication with prospective candidates, ensuring a seamless and professional recruitment experience.
- Experience: 3+ years of specialized recruiting experience focused on Facilities Management, Construction, Engineering, or Capital Projects roles.
- Domain Expertise: Thorough understanding of industry terminology, project management life cycles, cogeneration/power plant operations, and technical licenses/certifications.
- Industry Background: Professional HR/recruiting experience within an academic, higher education, or non-profit institution is strongly preferred.
- Sourcing Capabilities: Proven track record of creative, self-directed sourcing strategies that go beyond employer-provided subscription databases.
- Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage technical hiring managers and high-level professionals.
- Eligibility: Direct W2 authorization to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.
