Furniture land South is seeking a motivated and relationship-focused Talent Acquisition Specialist to support recruiting efforts for hourly positions across the organization. This role is responsible for sourcing, screening, and coordinating candidates while delivering a positive and professional candidate experience throughout the hiring process.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and skilled at building relationships with candidates and hiring managers. This position offers a hybrid work arrangement with a combination of on-site and remote work, based on business needs and recruiting activity.
Essential Responsibilities Recruitment & Talent Acquisition- Manage the full-cycle recruiting process for hourly positions across multiple departments.
- Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs, position requirements, and candidate profiles.
- Create and post job advertisements on various recruiting platforms.
- Source qualified candidates through job boards, social media, employee referrals, community partnerships, and networking activities.
- Review applications and conduct initial candidate screenings.
- Coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers.
- Maintain consistent communication with candidates throughout the hiring process.
- Extend employment offers and assist with pre-employment processes as assigned.
- Ensure a positive candidate experience that reflects Furniture land South's culture and values.
- Develop and maintain talent pipelines for frequently hired positions.
- Build relationships with local workforce development organizations, technical schools, colleges, and community groups.
- Participate in job fairs, hiring events, and recruiting outreach activities when needed.
- Support initiatives that enhance the company's employment brand in the marketplace.
- Maintain accurate candidate and recruiting records within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
- Track recruiting metrics including applicant flow, time-to-fill, and source effectiveness.
- Ensure compliance with applicable employment laws and company policies throughout the recruiting process.
- Assist with onboarding coordination and new hire communications as needed.
- Support additional HR projects and initiatives as assigned.
Qualifications Required
- Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Two or more years of recruiting, talent acquisition, human resources, staffing, retail management, or related experience.
- Experience recruiting hourly or high-volume positions preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple openings and priorities simultaneously.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and recruiting technology platforms.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
- Experience using an Applicant Tracking System (ATS), preferably Paycom.
- Retail, hospitality, distribution, customer service, or high-volume recruiting experience.
- Experience conducting phone screens and behavioral-based interviews.

Expected
Schedule:
20-25 hours per week, with flexibility based on recruiting needs and business demands. Hybrid work arrangement available following onboarding and training.
