As a Software Engineer at Hallo, you will play a central role in building AI agents that transform global hiring. You will help develop the best all-in-one platform for AI interviews, AI-powered assessments, and intelligent agents that support messaging, skill evaluation, sourcing, interviewing, and hiring.

This role focuses on designing, developing, and deploying scalable, secure, and high-performing systems that power AI-driven hiring experiences. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams across Product, AI/ML, and Customer Success to bring innovative solutions from concept to production.

• Build and scale AI agents for interviews, assessments, messaging, and candidate sourcing.
• Integrate advanced AI capabilities (ChatGPT and Gemini) into production systems.
• Ensure adaptive assessment experiences (e.g., CEFR-aligned language testing, cognitive and skill evaluations).
• Develop back-end services in Node.js with Type Script and front-end interfaces in React and Reactstrap.
• Manage Firebase services (authentication, database, image storage) and AWS hosting.
• Write clean, testable, and maintainable code with strong attention to scalability and performance.
• Partner with Product, AI/ML, and Customer Success to deliver features that solve real hiring challenges.
• Participate in architecture design, code reviews, and sprint planning.
• Contribute to improving developer workflows with Git Hub, CI/CD, and agile best practices.

• Follow compliance and security standards (SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR, EU AI Act).
• Implement monitoring, testing, and debugging practices to ensure platform reliability.
• Maintain strong engineering discipline and advocate for best practices.
• Research and adopt emerging frameworks, libraries, and AI tools to strengthen Hallo’s technology.
• Improve developer efficiency and scalability with tooling and automation.
• Mentor teammates and foster a collaborative, innovation-driven culture.

• Have 2+ years of software engineering experience (SaaS or AI platforms preferred).
• Are experienced with Firebase, AWS, and Git Hub workflows.
• Have worked with AI/ML APIs or frameworks, and are curious about applying LLMs, speech, and avatar technologies in production.
• Care about building secure, compliant systems, and ideally have experience in enterprise SaaS or regulated industries.
• Enjoy collaborating across teams, translating product requirements into technical solutions.
• Thrive in fast-paced environments, balancing scalability, performance, and innovation.
• Are passionate about shaping the future of global hiring through AI.
