Optomi, in partnership with a client, is looking for a Linux Administrator to join their team. This person will help to manage, monitor and troubleshoot Linux servers, operating systems, and applications. This is a remote opportunity on a contract basis.

$45.00/hr - $60.00/hr

• Configure, troubleshoot and manage Linux servers and OS (primarily Red Hat)
• Monitor application and system performance utilizing various monitoring tools
• Automate various functions using scripting languages such as Python and Bash
• Utilize F5 for physical load balancing
• Perform virtual machine administration (VMWare)
• Utilize various backup and storage administration tools
• Help to establish and adhere to system documentation and security best practices
• Communicate across the business with various IT departments and stakeholders

• Experience managing and troubleshooting Linux based servers and operating systems (Windows experience preferred as well)
• Scripting experience utilizing a language such as Python, Perl, Bash, etc.
• Experience configuring and setting up VMWare or other virtualization platforms
• Experience creating documentation and SOPs for service desk, systems, and infrastructure teams
• Backup and storage administration experience using tools such as Data Domain, Avamar, etc
• Comfortable communicating and providing resolutions for various teams and customers
