Job Description:We are seeking a candidate with a background in Remote Sensing to support the development of repeatable spectral processing and analytics methods. You will apply advanced spectral analysis techniques to develop methodologies, support intelligence reporting, and enhance GEOINT capabilities used by analysts. The ideal candidate will have proficiency with hyperspectral imagery (HSI), multispectral imagery (MSI), and sensor design principles. You will join a skilled team driving innovation in spectral analysis to support national defense.
This role offers the opportunity to work on impactful projects that advance scientific understanding of GEOINT phenomena, supporting missions in defense, security, and disaster response.
Responsibilities:- Expertise in spectral phenomenology, spectroscopy, and hyperspectral/multispectral processing.
- Strong understanding of GEOINT and the TCPED cycle.
- Experience with tools like ENVI, FLAASH, QUAC, AIG, SOCET GXP, ArcGIS, and scripting in Python or equivalent.
- Familiarity with analytic tools such as FADE, MIST, INTELBOOK, LINX, and WATCH BOX.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interact across levels in the GEOINT community.
- TS/SCI clearance with CI Poly.
- Bachelor's Degree with 7 years of relevant experience or Master's Degree with 5 years of relevant experience. Substitutions for volunteer experience, internships, certifications, military experience, or different degrees are permitted.
Experience:
- GEOINT-related certifications.
- Experience with Computer Vision, AI/ML algorithms, and workflow development for GEOINT.
- Hands-on evaluation of hyperspectral exploitation tools.
- Experience with scientific publishing and research.
- Background in sensor calibration, radiometric correction, or uncertainty quantification.
- Familiarity with tools like OpenCV, Tensor Flow, PyTorch, ERDAS IMAGINE, SIV, and NSG imagery platforms.
