As a Senior Data Analyst, you’ll transform complex data into insights that help protect lives, improve member services, and drive responsible gun ownership awareness. You’ll work in a forward-thinking analytics environment with access to platforms like Snowflake, Sigma, Tableau, and Python. You’ll also have opportunities to participate in Delta Defense’s growing data science and AI initiatives, including experimentation, predictive modeling, and automation, to expand your technical skillset.
In this role, you’ll deliver high-quality analyses and dashboards, mentor junior analysts, guide best practices, and shape how the business uses data to make smarter decisions.
You’ll collaborate with marketing, member services, sales, and executive leadership to define KPIs, develop reporting solutions, and uncover actionable insights. Your analyses will be used across the company, giving you high visibility and the opportunity to influence decisions at the highest level.
Responsibilities- Design, build, and maintain datasets, dashboards, and reports to monitor key business metrics.
- Write complex SQL queries to retrieve, wrangle, and transform data from multiple internal and external sources.
- Leverage tools such as Tableau, Power BI, and Python to visualize data and tell compelling data stories.
- Conduct in-depth exploratory and statistical analysis to support root cause discovery, performance trends, and process improvement.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to define reporting needs, clarify KPIs, and build meaningful data products.
- Translate business questions into analytical problems and actionable insights.
- Develop subject matter expertise in a primary business domain while understanding adjacent areas for broader context.
- Independently manage analysis projects from discovery through delivery, including stakeholder alignment, prioritization, timeline management, and documentation.
- Balance multiple priorities across teams and adapt to changing business needs.
- Support and mentor junior analysts by guiding best practices in SQL, visualization, and analytical reasoning.
- Lead collaborative code reviews, knowledge sharing sessions, and project retrospectives.
- Help standardize report development processes and drive data literacy across departments.
- Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and governance through documentation and validation practices.
- Participate in experimental design, A/B testing, regression modeling, and hypothesis testing to evaluate business interventions.
- Contribute to automation and data flow improvements to reduce manual effort and improve delivery speed.
- Present findings and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Create and deliver visual narratives that support executive decision-making.
- Actively contribute to meetings, project discussions, and enterprise-level analytics efforts.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or related roles in a corporate environment.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience writing advanced SQL and working with relational databases.
- Demonstrated experience in one or more visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Familiarity with Python for data analysis (Pandas, Num Py, Matplotlib) preferred.
- Can clearly articulate and demonstrate an understanding of data governance, data quality assurance, and metric consistency.
- Experience designing and interpreting A/B tests, regressions, and other statistical methods.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; capable of articulating complex findings clearly.
