Position SummaryThe SAP Project System (PS) Consultant is responsible for implementing, configuring, and supporting the SAP PS module to meet business requirements related to project management, project planning, budgeting, costing, and project execution. This role works closely with cross‑functional SAP teams and business stakeholders to deliver end‑to‑end solutions, optimize project management processes, and ensure seamless integration with related modules such as FI/CO, MM, SD, and PPM.
Key ResponsibilitiesSAP PS Configuration & Implementation
Analyze business requirements and translate them into SAP PS functional specifications.
Configure SAP PS components including WBS elements, networks, activities, milestones, planning, settlement, budgeting, and cost control.
Support system upgrades, enhancements, rollouts, and new implementations.
Conduct system testing (SIT/UAT) and defect resolution.
Business Process Design & OptimizationWork with project and portfolio management teams to understand operational needs and propose optimized SAP solutions.
Lead workshops to document current (“As‑Is”) and future (“To‑Be”) processes.
Identify opportunities for process standardization and automation.
IntegrationEnsure seamless integration between SAP PS and related modules such as:
FI/CO (project costing, settlement, revenue recognition)
MM (procurement for projects)
SD (services, billing, project‑related sales)
PPM or PM (maintenance projects)
Coordinate with cross‑functional teams for testing and solution design.
Support & Maintenance (AMS)Provide Level 2/3 support for SAP PS incidents, service requests, and enhancements.
Analyze recurring issues and recommend corrective or preventive actions.
Maintain configuration documentation, functional specs, training materials, and SOPs.
Training & User EnablementConduct training sessions and provide functional guidance to end users and project managers.
Create user manuals, knowledge articles, and documentation for key processes.
Project ManagementSupport project planning, resource estimation, and timeline management.
Coordinate with technical teams (ABAP, Basis, interfaces) and external vendors when required.
QualificationsEducation
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
Experience3–7 years of experience working with SAP Project System module.
Hands‑on experience with configuration, testing, and support.
Experience with project accounting, cost controlling, and budget processes.
Implementation or rollout experience (full lifecycle preferred).
SkillsStrong understanding of SAP PS structures: WBS, networks, activities, milestones, planning, cost control, budgeting, and settlement.
Good analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Experience with writing functional specifications and working with ABAP developers.
Understanding of integration with FI/CO, MM, SD, PPM, or PM.
Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Ability to work independently and in cross‑functional teams.

PreferredSAP S/4
HANA experience (Fiori apps, new functionalities).
Knowledge of SAP PPM or CPM.
Experience with Agile or hybrid project methodologies.
SAP certification in PS (nice to have).
