Pay RangeThe target pay range is $167,500–$204,600 per year. The full range is $129,800–$242,200 per year, based on experience and qualifications.

As a Senior Cybersecurity Architect, you will design and implement secure solutions across on‑premises, co‑location, and cloud (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) environments. You will shape BECU’s cybersecurity strategy, influence cross‑functional decisions, and ensure compliance with industry standards.
LocationCandidates must be residents of WA, OR, , AZ, TX, GA, SC, NC, CA, or VA. Remote work is permitted from approved locations; on‑site work required if within a reasonable commute of Tukwila.
What You’ll Do- Partner with business leaders to define and evolve BECU’s strategic cybersecurity architecture.
- Translate complex security strategies into actionable guidance aligned with enterprise architecture.
- Create domain‑specific architecture designs and best practices for multi‑cloud environments, including AWS and Azure.
- Facilitate architectural reviews to ensure secure‑by‑design principles.
- Champion cybersecurity standards and practices, guiding teams to embed security into development pipelines.
- Identify gaps in the existing architecture and propose enhancements to strengthen security posture.
- Monitor emerging threats and design proactive mitigation strategies.
- Stay current with cutting‑edge cybersecurity tools and incorporate them into designs.
- Lead strategic security initiatives for a trusted financial institution.

- Bachelor’s degree in information security, computer science, or related field.
- Minimum 7 years of experience designing and implementing security solutions.
- Certifications such as CISSP, SANS, GIAC, CISA, or CRISC.
- Advanced degree preferred.
- Proficiency in security principles, architecture design, risk assessment, and compliance frameworks.
- Ability to communicate complex technical information to diverse audiences.
- Analytical and problem‑solving skills with a track record of effective security implementations.
