AZH Consulting Corp is seeking an Expert Software Developer to work on the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) public website and intranet migration from Drupal 7 to Drupal 8/9. The project includes customized search, locator tools, form tools, content management, accessibility enhancements (WCAG 2.1 AA), and API integrations. The selected candidate will devote 100 % to DMV’s Web Services Office and collaborate with the New York State Office of Information Technology Services (ITS) staff.

• Expert-level software development experience, overseeing all phases of the development cycle.
• 84 + months of Drupal 7/8/9/10 experience, including site administration, configuration, and site building.
• 84 + months of experience managing approval workflows, permissions, roles, and users in Drupal.
• 84 + months of front‑end development (theming, JavaScript, jQuery, and related frameworks) for Drupal.
• 84 + months of custom module development for Drupal 7 and 8.
• 48 + months of remediation work to meet WCAG 2.0 AA accessibility standards.
• 60 + months of Drupal 7 to 8/9/10 migration experience.
• 48 + months working on a government agency website.
• 48 + months troubleshooting site‑search performance in Solr.
• Acquia Certified Site Builder – Drupal.

• Remediate identified accessibility issues per WCAG 2.1 AA guidelines.
• Configure Drupal components: menus, views, blocks, permissions, roles, content types, panels, organic groups, caching, module installation, and security updates.
• Analyze site‑search and overall website performance data and recommend improvements.
• Collaborate with DMV business unit content contributors to migrate content to Drupal.
• Participate in meetings and technical discussions with the DMV Web Services Office team.
• Provide at least 50 % on‑site presence; possible full‑remote work is available.
