Sr. Software Engineer - Finance

The Senior Software Engineer will oversee the design, development, and support of business‑critical applications. The role requires a mix of programming (60%) and business analysis (40%) and includes day‑to‑day IT support on a rotating basis. Contributions include solution architecture, business analysis, and support for critical enhancements.

• Analyze current business processes and define solution options.
• Evaluate programming project requests, determine feasibility, and identify opportunities to enhance capabilities.
• Plan individual assignments, coordinate with vendors, and work with business users on strategic initiatives.
• Share knowledge and define best practices with a solution focus.
• Apply analytical and problem‑solving skills to resolve complex issues.
• Provide limited vendor management for SaaS applications.
• Ensure change‑management process compliance and record tracking.
• Collaborate with enterprise architecture and infrastructure teams to assess dependencies.
• Build application specification documentation including flowcharts and diagrams.
• Maintain ongoing relationships with business partners to drive satisfaction.
• Participate in on‑call rotations for 24/7 production support.

• Modify code to correct errors and produce documentation describing changes.
• Adapt to new technologies and analyze programs to increase operating efficiency.

• 5+ years SQL experience, advanced topics (analytic/window functions, CTEs) on Oracle 19c or newer.
• 5+ years PL/SQL experience writing complex packages for custom business logic.
• 4+ years experience with Oracle eBusiness Suite 12.2X financial modules (AR, AP, GL, Inventory, Costing, Projects, Contracts, Fixed Assets).
• Self‑starter, independent work, logical problem resolution.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to communicate complex ideas.
• Experience developing and maintaining Oracle eBusiness Suite applications.
• Prior development of modules such as AR, AP, GL, Projects, Inventory, Pricing.
• Project management and leadership to guide junior programmers.
• Outstanding organizational, communication, and presentation skills.
• Adaptability to ongoing technology changes.

BA/BS degree with 4 to 6 years of relevant experience.

Full‑time position with a base salary range of $85,400 – $120,000 per year, determined by skills, experience, and education.
