Job Description
Our Direct Client is seeking an experienced, full-time, on-site, dedicated Candidate, with skills and expertise as described in below requirement.
Responsibilities
• Develop a detailed work plan including dependencies for Informix database upgrade and data migration
• Determine and set up configuration values and sizes (e.g., blobspace, dbspace, logical and physical logs)
• Set-up and configure dev/test/prod database server environment variables and paths
• Install Informix
• Create new database
• Determine registry and file settings
• Determine Informix data migration approach and strategy
• Work with State to execute and validate data migrations
• Determine archive/backup and recovery strategy
• Evaluate and research Informix embedded scripting compatibility with RHEL
• Execute database performance testing and tuning
• Prepare and execute test plans
• Mitigate risks and issues
• Work with State staff including server and database administrators and development team
• Provide knowledge transfer to State staff
• Perform other related duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
• Five (5) years’ experience in Database Administration role(s)
• Two (2) engagements, within the last five (5) years and lasting at least six (6) months each, in Database Administration roles using Informix 11.5 with Unix operating system
• One (1) engagement in a Database Administration role using Informix 14.10 with Linux operating system
• Certified in Informix Database Administration or Informix System Administration
