Redshift Developer - Chicago, IL (Initial couple months remote, Onsite required)

Duration: 12 Months Contract

Location: Chicago, IL (Initial couple months remote, Onsite required)

Employment type: Full-time

• Advanced Redshift SQL coding, tuning and query optimization
• Knowledge of Redshift internals as it relates to query and system performance and tuning
• Understanding of overall system architecture, scalability, reliability, and performance in Redshift environment
• Experience designing and leading Redshift performance benchmarks.
• Experience with large-scale data analytics and data warehousing
• Strong development background, strong coding skills:
  No sql, python, unix and shell scripting
• Experience with Agile process methodology, CI/CD automation, Test Driven Development.
• Must have Hands-on experience with using Cloud Platform provided Big Data technologies and equally non-big data technologies e.g. EC2, EMR, Red Shift, S3 in Amazon Web Services
• Good knowledge of Big Data, Relational Database, Data Architecture concepts.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, data analysis, backend, rest api and research skills.

• Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in computer science
• 5+ years of experience / minimum 2 years of Redshift experience is must
• Possess excellent communication skills and experience working with external teams and customers (both technical and non-technical audiences)
