This is a highly impactful role where you will lead the design, automation, and optimization of CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure for Power Plan’s SaaS products. You’ll own critical initiatives that improve deployment speed, reliability, and security across Azure and multi-cloud environments. This position offers the chance to work on cutting‑edge Dev Ops practices, partner with cross‑functional teams, and influence the scalability and resilience of systems that power North America’s energy industry.

COMPANY

Power Plan has been the trusted financial decision‑making platform for North American energy companies for over 30 years. Our software helps CFOs and operations leaders make smarter decisions that improve lives and power the world. We combine deep industry expertise with innovative technology to deliver solutions that set the standard for reliability and compliance. Joining Power Plan means working in a collaborative, customer‑focused environment where your contributions directly impact mission‑critical systems.

KEY

PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES (First 12 Months)

Outcome: Within 90 days, evaluate and document current CI/CD processes, identify gaps between Dev and Cloud pipelines, and design a unified architecture. By month 6, implement automated testing and rollback strategies across all environments (dev/test/stage/prod). Additionally, provision and manage at least two major environments in Azure using Terraform within the first 60 days, including networking, security, and compute resources.

Impact: Accelerates software delivery while ensuring reliability, security, and scalability. Reduces manual errors, improves developer productivity, and establishes a consistent infrastructure foundation for future deployments.

How: Audit existing pipelines, develop reusable Terraform modules, integrate IaC with CI/CD workflows, and collaborate with development and security teams to enforce compliance and best practices. Leverage Azure Dev Ops, Git branching strategies, and automation tools to streamline deployments.

Contribute to End‑to‑End Monitoring & Alerting Framework (First 6 Months)

Outcome: Play a pivotal role in delivering a unified monitoring and alerting framework across all environments (dev/test/stage/prod) within 6 months, providing expertise in log aggregation, metrics visualization, and the automation of alerts for critical services.

Impact: Support proactive detection and resolution of issues, helping to minimize downtime and enhance customer experience.

How: Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate Coralogix with Azure Monitor and Prometheus, define KPIs for system health, and automate alerting workflows tied to SLAs. Contribute to embedding observability standards within CI/CD pipelines by partnering with development and operations teams.

Deploy Secure, Scalable Containerized Applications (By End of Q2)

Outcome: Successfully deploy at least one new containerized application using Kubernetes and Helm by the end of the second quarter, ensuring all containers follow secure configuration practices and are integrated with monitoring and alerting systems. Document the deployment process for reuse across teams.

Impact: Enables faster, more reliable application delivery and scalability, while reducing operational overhead and improving security posture for SaaS products.

How: Build and configure Kubernetes clusters in Azure (AKS), create Helm charts for deployment automation, enforce container security standards, and integrate observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Coralogix) for real‑time monitoring. Collaborate with development teams to align containerization strategy with CI/CD workflows.

WHAT YOU BRING
  • 10+ years of Cloud Ops/Dev Ops experience supporting PaaS/SaaS environments.
  • Expertise in Azure services (AKS, Key Vault, App Services, Storage Accounts) and Terraform for IaC.
  • Hands‑on experience with Kubernetes, Helm, Docker, and container security best practices.
  • Strong scripting skills in Power Shell and proficiency with Git and Azure Dev Ops for CI/CD automation.
  • Knowledge of identity federation (SAML/OIDC), Active Directory/Entra , and zero‑trust security principles.
  • Experience with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Coralogix) and log aggregation strategies.
  • Familiarity with cost optimization strategies in Azure and multi‑cloud environments. Organic Fin Ops
  • Strong documentation, collaboration, and problem‑solving skills in Agile/Scrum settings.
