Project Overview

The client develops and maintains many computer systems, including modern applications that support the court process in criminal and public safety matters. The ITD is seeking a part-time Project Manager 3

to assist with designing and implementing a system that exchanges data and documents with law enforcement agencies and other criminal justice organizations.

Scope of Work

In addition to the standard skills and experience for the Project Manager 3 classification,

applicants should be prepared to discuss their achievements in the four areas specified

below.

General Experience

• Minimum nine (9) years of experience of managing and implementing IT projects.

Preferred Strengths

1. Facilitate meetings for technical staff, business managers, and organizational

leaders covering all phases of the software development life cycle;

2. Manage complex system and project requirements through dynamic interactions

with internal and external business partners;

3. Oversee the production of design specifications, testing strategies, and other

written materials; and

4. Extensive IT experience in the criminal justice sector.

Additional Information

The selected candidate may work up to 32 hours per week from a duty station at ITD in

East Hartford, with opportunities for remote work. The position may be renewed

periodically based upon a consultant's performance and the availability of funding. Due

to the sensitive nature of the project and potential assignments, the selected consultant

may also be required to undergo a fingerprint-based background check and complete

security awareness training.
