How you’ll help:

• Fit and assess predictive models leveraging geospatial data sources in R or Python.
• Explore and analyze client-provided assets and reliability data sets.
• Collaborate with a broader data science and engineering team to take projects and products from inception to client delivery.

You’ll be a full-time member of the ESource Data Science team. Our data science positions appeal to self-starters who welcome and excel in team-based, collaborative projects from conception to end-user handoff, providing excellent customer experience throughout. The ability to simplify complex analyses into understandable concepts that are applicable to management and operations staff is highly desired.

Required qualifications:

• Education:
  
  MS or PhD in Engineering, Math, Statistics, or similar field of study.
• Experience:
  
  MS +1 year professional experience conducting data science projects in industry or applied research – analytical design, managing schedule and communicating results to stakeholders or
• PhD with applied research in above-mentioned fields of study.
• Hands on experience cleaning, joining, and analyzing real-world data sets using predictive models (statistical, machine learning) in R and/or Python.
• Experience working as part of a larger data science team, collaborating with technical or non-technical peers, and presenting interpretable results to stakeholders.

Preferred qualifications:

• Domain expertise in the electric utility spaceli>
• Domain expertise in geospatial analytics or using remotely sensed weather observations.
• Experience leading and overseeing the work of data analysts or data scientists within a team.

We are hiring between Levels II-IV for this position.

The budgeted salary for this position is:

$90,000 to $145,000

USD+ annual bonus.

Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.

This role will be 100% remote, with infrequent travel (generally 1-2 times per year).
