Velociti is seeking a Velo Care Solutions Principal to serve as a senior subject matter expert supporting our Velo Care program. This role is ideal for a professional with deep experience in fleet maintenance strategy and/or fleet insurance and risk management who understands how maintenance, data, risk, and service responsiveness come together to improve fleet performance. You will play a key role in strengthening Velo Care’s ability to analyze customer needs, guide service responses, and deliver measurable improvements in fleet health, uptime, and risk reduction.
Aboutthe Role
The Velo Care Solutions Principal supports Velociti’s Velo Care program by applying real-world fleet maintenance or fleet insurance expertise to customer service analysis and resolution. This role partners closely with Sales, Operations, IT, and Customer teams to improve decision-making, elevate service outcomes, and inform program evolution. This position reports to the AVP, Sales and is based onsite in Riverside, MO, where in-person collaboration is essential.
While the role is not remote, occasional work-from-home flexibility is available with prior coordination and approval.
- Serve as a senior subject matter expert within the Velo Care program, applying fleet maintenance and/or fleet insurance expertise to service ticket analysis and resolution strategies
- Provide guidance on fleet health, maintenance trends, risk indicators, and insurance-related considerations that impact customer outcomes
- Act as an escalation and advisory resource for complex or high-impact Velo Care cases
- Support Account Executives and Customer teams by translating Velo Care insights into proactive recommendations and solution opportunities
- Educate internal teams on how fleet maintenance practices, service history, and risk factors influence cost, performance, and customer outcomes
- Partner with Operations, IT, and Customer Success to refine Velo Care workflows and response models
- Provide consultative guidance to customers on fleet maintenance optimization, service strategies, and risk reduction
- Apply prior experience to inform best practices in preventive maintenance, vendor performance, claims prevention, and compliance
- Support conversations with brokers, service providers, OEMs, and technology partners as needed
- Stay current on trends in fleet maintenance technology, telematics, predictive maintenance, insurance underwriting, and risk management
- Identify opportunities to enhance Velo Care capabilities through technology, data insights, or partner alignment
- Provide feedback to leadership on recurring themes, customer challenges, and growth opportunities surfaced through Velo Care interactions
- Improved effectiveness and strategic value of the Velo Care program
- Positive feedback from Sales, Operations, and Customer teams on subject matter expertise and support
- Demonstrated impact on fleet uptime, risk reduction, and service efficiency
- Enhanced insight generation from Velo Care service and ticket data
- Contributions to scalable Velo Care processes and service innovation initiatives
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Fleet Management, Risk Management, Engineering, or a related field
- Seven or more years of experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Fleet maintenance management at scale
- Fleet or commercial insurance brokerage, underwriting, or risk advisory
- Strong knowledge of fleet operations, maintenance programs, telematics, or insurance and claims management
- Ability to analyze trends, assess risk, and provide strategic recommendations
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
- Collaborative, consultative, and solutions-oriented mindset
- Comfort operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment with multiple stakeholders
Physical Requirements
- Primarily office-based work using computers and standard office equipment
- Extended periods of sitting and frequent use of communication tools
- Occasional standing, walking, or movement between offices
- Standard business hours Monday through Friday, with occasional extended hours for initiatives or special projects
- Minimal physical exertion required
