Overview and Job Description
One Chronos is seeking a highly experienced Senior Dev Ops Engineer to drive the deployment, automation, and scaling of our periodic auction matching infrastructure. You will work across on‑premise and cloud environments, ensuring reliable, secure, and scalable infrastructure that supports our mission‑critical systems. This role requires deep expertise in infrastructure automation and workflow orchestration, with the ability to evaluate and implement the best tools and technologies for our needs.
While we are open to innovation, we currently utilize Ansible, Terraform, and Temporal, and familiarity with these is required.

Our software and systems are developed in house and match billions of dollars per day of security transactions.
Responsibilities- Design, deploy, and maintain infrastructure for both on-premise and cloud environments
- Implement and maintain workflow orchestration to ensure reliability and fault tolerance
- Ensure high availability and performance of systems through monitoring, alerting, and automation.
- Collaborate with software engineering teams to integrate Dev Ops best practices into the development lifecycle
- Implement CI/CD pipelines for deployment automation
- Maintain compliance and security best practices for infrastructure
- 8+ years of experience in Dev Ops
- Strong familiarity with vendor neutral infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Ansible, Terraform, and Temporal
- Deep expertise in infrastructure automation and orchestration
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals
- Extensive knowledge of on‑premise and cloud‑based architectures
- Hands‑on experience with Linux systems administration
- Ability to assess, recommend, and implement the best tools for infrastructure management, monitoring, and automation
- Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to operate in a highly technical, fast‑paced environment
