Principal Enterprise SAP MDG Consultant

Overview

Infosys is seeking a Principal SAP MDG Enterprise Applications Consultant. As Principal Enterprise Applications Consultant, you will be a key player in the consulting team that helps discover and define the problem statement, evaluates the solution options, and makes recommendations. You will plan the activities of configuration, configure the product as per the design, conduct conference room pilots and assist in resolving queries related to requirements and solution design.

You will conduct solution/product demonstrations, POC/Proof of Technology workshops and prepare effort estimates which suit the customer budgetary requirements and are in line with the organization’s financial guidelines. You will also support knowledge transfer with the objective of providing value-adding consulting solutions that enable our clients to meet the changing needs of the global landscape.

• Plan configuration activities and configure the product per design; conduct conference room pilots and resolve queries related to requirements and solution design.
• Perform solution/product demonstrations, POC/Proof of Technology workshops, and prepare effort estimates aligned with customer budgets and financial guidelines.
• Support knowledge transfer to deliver value-adding consulting solutions for clients in a global landscape.

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
• At least 11 years of experience with Information Technology.

• At least 11 years of experience in SAP MDG implementation and support programs.
• Experience across Electricity (preferred), or Gas or Water Utilities industries, North America.
• Well-versed in MDG configurations and customizations in areas such as Data Modeling, UI Modeling, Process Modeling, Data Replication Framework, Key Mapping, rules and derivations, BRF+.
• Technical knowledge and hands-on experience in customization for MDG workflows, Floor Plan Manager, WDABAP, BRF+; hands-on development in BADI ABAP is a plus.
• Knowledge of WDABAP framework-based customizations, OOPs programming in SAP MDG, FPM and UI customizations.
• Work with technical teams to complete the SAP MDG implementation for Material, Customer, Supplier and FI objects.
• Experience with at least one end-to-end lifecycle implementation activity including:
  • Requirement gathering
  • Business process design
  • SAP configuration
  • RICEFW Functional design
  • Systems and Integration Testing
  • Resolving production issues
• Strong client-facing experience with excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Strong analytical skills with ability to perform advanced Excel-based data analysis.
• Ability to work with offshore teams and coordinate work delivery between onsite and offshore.
• Flexible work timings due to remote working environment including offshore overlaps twice a day.

The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email, or face to face.
