Location: Indiana

Senior Service Now Developer – WPS, a health solutions company headquartered in Madison, Wisconsin. This role involves designing, developing, and customizing Service Now applications and solutions to meet business requirements, including scripting, workflow creation, and module configuration (ITSM, ITOM, IRM, Sec Ops, SPM). The developer collaborates with business analysts and technical teams to ensure seamless platform integration, performs testing, debugging, and ensures alignment with user needs and organizational goals.

Salary Range
: $115,000 ~ $130,000 (base pay may vary based on knowledge, skills, and experience).

Hybrid Work
:
Prefer candidates residing in Wisconsin. Employees living within 45 miles of WPS Headquarters (1717 W. Broadway, Madison, WI) are expected to work hybrid 3 days a week. Remote work is offered for approved states:
Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, New Jersey, North Carolina, Ohio, South Carolina, Texas, Virginia, Wisconsin. Candidates outside the Madison area must travel monthly to headquarters.

Responsibilities
  • Develop, customize, and deploy Service Now applications, modules, and features based on business requirements.
  • Write and maintain business rules, UI policies, UI actions, client scripts, and scripted REST APIs.
  • Configure forms, workflows, dashboards, and automate business processes through service catalog items.
  • Integrate Service Now with third‑party systems using REST, SOAP, and middleware tools.
  • Conduct unit testing, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure code quality and performance.
  • Maintain detailed technical documentation for codes, configurations, and customizations.
  • Monitor system performance and implement optimizations for efficiency, reliability, and scalability.
  • Ensure Service Now instances comply with best practices for security and maintainability.
  • Serve as a subject‑matter expert, assist with platform upgrades, and provide ongoing support and maintenance for Service Now applications post‑deployment.
Minimum Qualifications
  • U.S. citizenship required due to Department of Defense restrictions.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent education/experience.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Service Now developer and/or System Administrator.
  • Solid knowledge of ITSM, ITOM, IRM, Sec Ops, SPM, and custom applications.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript, Glide API, business rules, client scripts, UI actions for custom development and integrations.
  • Experience integrating Service Now using REST, SOAP, and other web services.
  • Strong troubleshooting and issue resolution skills for Service Now applications and platform configurations.
  • Familiarity with Agile environments and tools such as Jira, ADO, and Service Now for managing user stories, sprints, and deliverables.
  • Effective communication with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience in software development roles.
  • Service Now Certified System Administrator (CSA) required;
    Certified Application Developer (CAD) or Service Now Certified Implementation Specialist (ITSM, ITOM, IRM, Sec Ops, or WSD) preferred.
Remote Work Requirements
