Remote Database Administrator

Position Overview

We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Database Administrator to manage, secure, and maintain database systems. This role is ideal for veterans with experience in IT, communications, logistics systems, cybersecurity, or technical operations.

Direct civilian DBA experience is helpful but not required
. We provide training and onboarding to help transition military technical skills into this role.

• Install, configure, monitor, and maintain database systems
• Ensure data integrity, availability, and security
• Perform regular backups, recovery testing, and performance tuning
• Monitor system health and troubleshoot database issues
• Support users, applications, and reporting needs
• Document procedures and maintain compliance standards
• Coordinate with IT, security, and operations teams

• Veteran or retired military service preferred
• Experience in IT, systems administration, networking, or data management a plus
• Familiarity with databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, or Postgre
  
  SQL (training available)
• Basic scripting or query skills helpful (SQL, Power Shell, Bash)
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and on a team
• Security clearance a plus (not required)

• Legally authorized to work in the United States
