Overview
Free Will is an award-winning, social-good startup that has partnered with 2,400+ nonprofits who support our mission while generating $13B in gift commitments for nonprofits since we were founded in 2017. We’ve been featured in the New York Times, Forbes, Oprah’s magazine, and our co-CEOs have even been named to Town & Country’s “Top 50 Philanthropists” list.
All of this is because we’ve figured out how to make some powerful (but complicated!) ways to donate much easier and more accessible. Our products make things easier for the donors who want to change the world and for nonprofits doing heroic work around the planet.
In the last 8 years, we’ve grown from 5 people to 200+ (all smart, tenacious, and kind), and continue to grow. We’d love to have you be a part of this adventure. We were named a "Most Loved Workplace" by both Newsweek and Best Practice Institute and in 2025, we were named as one of Forbes' Best Startup Employers and the 2025 Most Loved Workplaces for Diversity;

Full-time
• Excellent Benefits
• Work from Anywhere in the US (except AL, CO, or LA)
The Digital Production Manager is the operational backbone of Free Will's Digital Services team, responsible for keeping 500+ Planned Giving Microsites running smoothly while continuously improving how the team works. This role combines hands-on technical execution (web design, development, content production) with rigorous project coordination and process ownership. You’ll act as the link between partners, internal strategists, and contract developers, translating requests into action, building systems that scale, and ensuring nothing falls through the cracks.
This is a good fit for someone with deep creative agency experience who's worn all the hats, someone who's gone from client call to wireframe to deployed site in the same week and enjoyed every part of it. You get genuine satisfaction from bringing order to complexity, you treat clear communication as a craft worth perfecting, and you're energized by the challenge of building operational infrastructure while the plane is in flight.
This is a full-time, remote position in the United States.
Free Will has set compensation and a non-negotiation policy for fairness reasons (we don't think that an individual's pay should be determined by how comfortable they are negotiating). As a result, we like to be transparent and up front about the compensation. When we make an offer, we provide multiple options so that employees can choose between compensation packages that prioritize salary or stock options.
The salary for this role is $70,000 and will come with equity and full benefits.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for partner requests, managing intake through shared inboxes and Slack, setting expectations, and providing clear status updates throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate work across contract developers by scoping requests, assigning tasks, tracking progress, and ensuring deliverables meet quality standards before they reach partners.
- Execute design and development work directly, including building and modifying sites in Word Press, creating and editing visual assets in Photoshop or Figma, and writing clean HTML/CSS/JS when the situation calls for it. Git and Git Hub are part of your regular workflow, not something you need to Google.
- Own project tracking and documentation in Notion, maintaining accurate records of decisions, partner context, and project status so the team always knows where things stand.
- Build and refine operational systems, including intake workflows, QC checklists, handoff processes, and documentation standards. Conduct quarterly reviews to identify what's working and what needs to change.
- Handle bespoke and one-off requests with flexibility, problem-solving edge cases that don't fit standard workflows, while flagging patterns that suggest the need for new processes.
- QC completed work for accuracy,…
